Nice stuff, Chas. There's so much to be said for thumb tone. My only critique, apart from the lack of go-go dancers, is that I like to see the right hand, so a different camera placement perhaps. Or play standing on your head. I dunno.

I love the tone on your guitar and you make that old number really cool again. The solo work is really great, I love the way you play a few chords from the melody then drop in a line or two, then a few chord phrases. I actually like the camera angle for a change but I would like to see your left hand better. Victor

Thanks Greg, most of that is because of the JazzKat amp that I'm playing through and the 175. Some guys have been complaining that they can't get the darker sounds out of the newer 175's or the JazzKat for that matter but I haven't had that problem. The strings have been on there for almost a year now so that could have something to do with it also. Charlie

It's really hard to find a good camera angle with these desktop cameras. This is much better than the one that had me sitting cross legged on the floor (it looked kind of hip but it was almost impossible to play anything Charlie

Much better shots are obtained when I use my camcorder but with that I can't use the direct out on my amp but instead have to rely on the cameras mic which isn't that great. Thanks for the input...... Charlie

nice stuff for sure. if you're looking for pointers, i'd say set the
camera right in front of you, and not off and up to the side.

Beautiful Charlie ! I was waiting some of your video as you did during last year. I am very happy you are back here with video again ! Claps claps from Italy !
Hey Thumbs! Your playing takes on a different character when you play with your thumb. Softens you up a little bit. Liked the overhead shot. -- Tom Walls the guy at the Temple of Zeus

Very nice Chas: I second and third all the above posts. We all want to see
how your hands are making that sweet tone.

Just to add a note of dissent, I couldn't care less about watching someone's right hand. I can see you're using your thumb, that's all I need to know. I get a nice view of your left. I'm all about the left. -- Tom Walls the guy at the Temple of Zeus

Part of the reason that I took that approach is that I noticed that I've been playing too hard lately on some things. I think that of all of the different camera angles I've tried this one is the best but now I have to figure out how to get the hands more visible. Thanks for watching. Charlie

Thanks Kevin, I haven't listened to Jimmy that much but I guess that the use of the thumb and the overall style can cause things to sound like him in places. I heard you latest one, the interpretation of the Wes Montgomery tune Leila and added it to my favorites list. You get a nice clean sound on that one, Later, Charlie
