It is with great sadness to announce that Casey Homel Jr., one of the last of the Eddie Zima style concertina players, passed away this afternoon in Chicago of congestive heart failure at around 5PM CST. Casey buried his mother earlier today (who died on Monday) and as soon as he returned home from the funeral, his already weakened heart failed and he collapsed. He was 65 years old. Casey's last request before he died was that he be cremated. It is not know at this time if there will be a memorial service. May Casey Always Rest In Peace, AMEN! ~Tom Coss~
